Evelyn Resh and Jennifer Michaels to Give Talks at Mt. Greylock for Parents
Williamstown, MA – February 16, 2012 – Parents of children ages 9-18 are invited to Mt. Greylock Regional School for two upcoming presentations.
On Wednesday, February 29th at 7pm, Evelyn Resh, a certified nurse-midwife with a Master’s in Public Health, will discuss her book The Secret Lives of Teen Girls in the Mt. Greylock Auditorium. Following her presentation, Resh will run an anonymous question and answer session. This talk is recommended for parents of girls and boys, ages 9 and older.
There is a $2 suggested donation for the talk, and Resh’s book will be available from Water St. Books for purchase and signing after 6:30pm. This event is sponsored by Mt. Greylock Regional School and the PTOs of MGRSD, Lanesborough Elementary, and Williamstown Elementary.
On Wednesday, April 4th at 7pm, Dr. Jennifer Michaels will give a talk in the Mt. Greylock Meeting Room, entitled “Talk to Them Early, Talk to Them Often.” Michaels is the medical director of the Brien Center and a leading expert on substance abuse in adolescents.
Dr. Michaels’ presentation will also be followed by a question and answer session and is recommended for parents of 4th-12th graders. This talk is sponsored by nb21, with the assistance of the MGRSD, LES, and WES PTOs.
